Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

Who is this course for?

This level-3 CAVA course is intended for those who assess occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding in a workplace, classroom, or other environment.  There must be evidence to cover all of the assessment methods listed in the units. 

What does the course cover?

Unit 1: 

Assessment principles, understanding different types of assessment methods, planning assessment, how to involve learners and others in assessment, making assessment decisions, the quality assurance of the assessment process, managing assessment information, and legal and good practice requirements.

Unit 2: 

Planning the assessment of, making assessment decisions about, providing the information required for occupational competence and maintaining legal requirements and good practice of occupational competence.

Unit 3: 

Selecting and preparing assessment methods, performing assessments, providing the required information, and maintaining legal and good practice assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.

Timings

This course is delivered/assessed remotely so learners can work at their own pace to complete this qualification. You will need to have your own learners to assess. 

Assessment

This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected. The portfolio will be assessed and internally quality assured.

Certification

Successful learners will receive a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
