Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance

Who is this course for?

This qualification is intended for those who maintain and improve the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

What does the course cover?

Unit 1: 

Roles & responsibilities, key concepts, planning IQA [internal quality assurance], monitoring IQA, sampling techniques, information management, equality & diversity and using technology.  This qualification is designed to provide essential IQA knowledge.  

Unit 2: 

Applying the principles of internal quality assurance (IQA).  E.g. planning, evaluation, improvement, management, maintaining records etc.  This unit requires evidence of applying IQA in an assessment centre. 

As well as a written assignment a portfolio of evidence of IQA activity will be required.

Timings

This course is delivered/assessed remotely so learners can work at their own pace to complete this qualification. You will need to have your own assessors to internally quality assure.  
 

Assessment 

This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected. The portfolio will be assessed and internally quality assured.

 
Certification

Successful learners will receive a Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
